Barley
Description: 

Barely is among the most ancient plants of the Globe. Archeological excavations show that barley together with wheat was known back in the Stone Age.

In the global grain production barley is the fourth after wheat, rice and corn and due to this fact barley sale takes one of the leading positions in the world. In Ukraine barley is the second cereal grain after wheat. All these offer a good opportunity to continue successful barley wholesale.

Today we have accumulated information from recent studies testifying that barley products are unique by its curative features. Barley contains proteins valuable by amino acid composition (not balanced only by lysine and threonine), slimes, and is rich in active enzymes (amylase, protease, peroxydase). It is necessary to buy barley because its content of dietary fibers is higher than in oat.    

Everyone who deals with barley sale knows that barley is also appreciated for good harvests in regions with cool and humid climate where corn and sorghum are not cultivated or they give much smaller harvest in such conditions.

Among cereal grains barley is the second by sowing acreages.

In Ukraine barley is cultivated on 42% of cereal grains acreages.

Barley is the main forage and partially food cereal grain. It is fast growing and droughtproof and unpretentious crop.

Barley is valuable forage, food and technical crop. It is the main raw material for beer production.

Barley grits are made of barley grains. Barley grits are added when baking rye and wheat bread. Ersatz coffee and malt extract are made of barley grains. During many years we continue to by barley products.

Barley is a natural vitamins and minerals complex.

Barley grain contains up to 70 – 75% of carbohydrates, around 12% of protein, 1,7 – 2% of sucrose, 3,8 – 5,5% of fiber, 1,6 – 2% of fat, enzymes and vitamins.

Barley’s healthy features are higher comparing to wheat. That’s why many businessmen decide to buy barley by wholesale for their own production.

As an element of composition of compound animal feedstuff barley successfully promotes health improvement and increases endurance of cattle. Comparing to oats barley has better digestibility for cattle.

Winter barley is good at hibernation and provides high yields and that’s why winter barley dominates over spring barley. This crop can give 70 – 80 hundred kilograms per hectare of grains and comparing to spring barley it is more on 10 – 15 hundred kilograms per hectare.

According to information of Agricultural Holding “August” in Ukraine barley sowing acreage occupies 4,7 mln. hectares.

As a result of the current year 5,77 mln. tons of winter barley and 3,47 mln. tons of spring barley were harvested by the average yield of 21,5 hundred kilograms per hectare.
